2017 IACP Cookbook Award winners announced
March 6, 2017 by DarcieThe IACP announced the winners of its cookbook awards at a ceremony held last night in Louisville, Kentucky. Vivian Howard’s Deep Run Roots was the evening’s biggest winner, notching up wins in three categories (Chefs & Restaurants, General, and Julia Child First Book), plus it was named Cookbook of the Year.
Other EYB Member favorites snagged a few awards as well. Nancy Pomeroy’s Taste & Technique won in the Food Photography & Styling category, Katie Parla’s Tasting Rome won in the International category, and Naomi Duguid’s Taste of Persia nabbed the Culinary Travel award.
The IACP also gave out several special awards, which were not part of the sixteen categories. Culinary Classics awards went to Authentic Mexican by Rick Bayless, Jewish Cooking in America by Joan Nathan, The Cake Bible by Rose Levy Beranbaum, How America Eats by Clementine Paddleford, and Spoonbread and Strawberry Wine by Norma Jean and Carole Darden.
Molly Yeh’s Molly on the Range took home the Judge’s Choice prize, and The Vegetable Butcher by Cara Mangini won the People’s Choice award. See all of the winners on our IACP 2017 Nominees and Winners page.
