Cookbook Giveaway – Divine Food

Divine Food: Israeli and Palestinian Food Culture and Recipes by David Haliva is  one of those cookbooks that if I never cooked a recipe from it, I would still be madly in love with its beauty. This book has substance to complement its beauty – I want to cook all the recipes and am making a cake from the book today.

    There are some very interesting salads here, but still the recipe I would make first is the Lamb and fennel patties. Sounds like an interesting way to combine tasty ingredients.

    I would make the Labeneh with Tzfatit cheese. I live in Tzfat, after which this salty white cheese is named, and in which Galilee town it is made. So it totally suits us here -and is delicious too.
