Cooking Like Mummyji: Real Indian Food from the Family Home by Vicky Bhogal is a reissue of the author’s popular book previously released in 2003. This edition captures the warmth and vibrancy of Indian home cooking in beautiful photographs and recipes.

    Lip Smacking Chicken (houw could I not) with Spiced Potato Cakes – because I read a book that talked about cumin adn potatoes so much I craved them, but my wing-it attempt was not so magical. Edible, but not magical.

    The simple vegetable briyani and Jalebia for desert. It's a shame I grew up on Indian food but never learned to cook it. I actually did make some dahl poori last year. I watched a Surinamese gentleman on video show me how.

    Indian food was readily available where I used to live. Now I live in a place that has many positive attributes but culinary diversity is not one of them. I never tried paneer but since I love dairy, the recipe for "Home-made paneer" intrigues me most.
