I lived and worked for 3 months in Pune, India Fall 2015. I adore Indian food. Cook it often!

  • jupflute  on  January 26, 2017

I love Indian food. My husband is from India, so we have it fairly regularly. The only thing is that now I am used to eating more home style Indian cooking and some restaurants just don't stack up. My favorite dish at home is idly with sambar, but I don't usually eat it in restaurants, because their sambar is not as good as my mother-in-law's.

  • Raele  on  January 26, 2017

I adore Indian food, because it is so easy to find something vegetarian or even vegan, and it's packed with complex and layered flavor. It's hard to choose a favorite dish, but I love the authentic Indian street food served in a little cardboard bowl at a market near my home. The Samosa Chaat is amazing!

  • madelainelc  on  January 26, 2017

Paneer forever. Mutter paneer may be the best food ever created, particularly with some fresh hot naan.

I LOVE Indian food. My mum is British but born in Lucknow and raised in Karachi and Calcutta. Growing up we had Indian food daily along with American food. Funny thing is, until I was 13 years old, I alwats chose to eat the American food without even trying Indian. Tsk tsk, Dumb child! Palak Paneer is my favorite dish of all.

I've been cooking Indian sine 1975, but there's always room on the bookshelf for another Indian cookbook! My favorite dish was always saag paneer; but since I transitioned from vegetarian to vegan 13 years ago I've learned to substitute tofu for the paneer with superb results. Now if only I could figure out how to make acceptable gluten-free puri…

  • SheilaS  on  February 1, 2017

  • kitchenfrolic  on  February 1, 2017
