Cookbook Giveaway – The Encyclopedia of Spices & Herbs

The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs: An Essential Guide to the Flavors of the World was inspired by Padma Lakshmi’s life traveling the world and brings together the world’s spices and herbs in a comprehensive alphabetical guide. This reference book is illustrated with photographs that capture the essence of various spices and their authentic flavors.

The Encyclopedia of Spices and Herbs includes complete descriptions, histories, and cooking suggestions for ingredients from basic herbs to the most exotic seeds and chilies, as well as information on toasting spices, making teas, and infusing various oils and vinegars. During her childhood, Padma use to wander the aisles of Kalustyan’s in New York City nourishing her love of spices and global cuisine.

You can read more about this book and an excerpt on mustard in our review and recipe post. We are pleased to offer five copies of this title to our EYB Members in the U.S. and Canada.
