Cookbook Giveaway – Art of the Pie

Art of the Pie by Kate McDermott, of Pie Camp fame, is the pie artist’s first cookbook and she comes into the cookbook world with a bang! Selling out of Amazon before her release date, pie bakers are anxiously awaiting for new stock to arrive to fulfill their orders. This is the pie book of 2016.

    It depends on the season. I love apple pie in the fall when we pick fresh apples, and I love strawberry pie in the summer when it is made with fresh, ripe berries.

    That is a difficult question, like asking me to choose between my children! Let's break it down into categories, my favorite fruit pie is traditional apple, nut pie would be pecan, and cream pie would be banana.

    My mom's cherry pie made with cherries from her tree. Unfortunately, the tree died a few years ago and I lost my mother this summer. None of her daughters can quite duplicate it.
