This new series is a must-watch

It seems like every popular documentary has its devotees – but also those who feel that the show can be a bit too precious. When that happens, the documentary can get its own “mockumentary”. Programs about cooking are not an exception to this rule, as BravoTV demonstrates.
The video short titled Jeff’s Table is a tongue-in-cheek take on the popular Netflix documentary Chef’s Table. Shot in a format similar to the program, Jeff’s Table is shot in a similar manner to the series, including extreme closeups and running commentary.
The Food Beast original series’ inaugural episode contains chuckle-worthy lines like “there’s a feeling of affirmation when you create something average.” According to director David Ma: “We love everything about Chef’s Table…we also love microwave burritos and PB&J sandwiches, so we set out to give them the same love as the Michelin-star dishes.”
