Ridiculous food gadgets
January 4, 2016 by Darcie
If you love to cook, chances are you got some type of cooking gadget for Christmas. We hope that someone used your Amazon wish list or the hints you dropped and that no one bought you any of these 10 ridiculous gadgets. Yahoo Food! takes a look at several inventions that made the writers wonder “Why, kitchen gods? WHY?”
As if it weren’t bad enough that selfie sticks exist, the list includes a “selfie spoon” which allows you to photograph yourself while eating. Another item, the wine bag, has made the rounds on social media. It looks like a small messenger bag, but it hides a liquid-holding pouch with a spigot located in a prominent place at the bottom of the bag. Even if you wanted to bring your own adult beverage to a social engagement, this feature would likely result in requests for sharing unlike a discreetly stored flask.
Other items in the list include a ramen hair protector, the “Chambong”, and The Rollie, a tool that Alton Brown recently lambasted, along with other unitaskers, in a gadget review for the Daily Dot. What gadgets or tools – useful or silly – did you receive for the holidays?
