Cookbook giveaway – Eating with the Chefs

Eating with the ChefsPer-Anders Jorgensen is a photographer, and Co-Editor in Chief (and founder, together with his wife Lotta Jorgensen, who also is the Art Director) of Fool Magazine, a culinary publication that is billed as “food, insanity, brilliance, and love.” The inspiration for the magazine’s name is a combination of the words food and foolishness. As Jorgensen says, “You realize working in this world that these top chefs really have that playfulness and foolishness. That’s one of the things we want to point out.” This artsy, playful magazine that Jorgensen publishes with his wife has become a hit and won the Gourmand Best Food Magazine award in 2012.

Jorgensen has turned that playfulness, along with his considerable photography skills, to the recently published cookbook Eating with the Chefs, a visually stunning tome that focuses on the family-style meals eaten in the world’s most renowned restaurants. As Jorgensen writes in the introduction to the cookbook, “To capture staff preparing and eating the ‘family meal,’ whether they do it standing up at their station, in the debris of the dining room after service, or in the shade of a tree in a beautiful garden, gives a very human perspective on how they think about and relate to food.”

We’re delighted to offer three copies of Eating with the Chefs. For your chance to win a copy, just answer the following question in the comments below: At which famous restaurant would you most like to share the “family meal” with the staff?

Additional contest rules:

  • Please make certain you have signed in to the EYB website (you don’t have to be a paid member). This ensures that we have your email address and can get in contact with you.
  • One entry per member please. Additional entries will be deleted before the winners are chosen. The giveaway will expire in 4 weeks on July 21, 2014.

This contest is now closed. The 3 lucky winners, selected by random number generator, are michelle1009, Nsteinen and nightswimmer.
