Potato ghosts on the march

Potato ghosts

Over at Gourmet Live they’re getting in the Halloween spirit and we were happy to see these little potato ghosts come front and center. They first appeared in the 90’s and due to both how  easy they were to make and incredible cuteness factor, they were an instant hit. In The Story behind the Potato Ghosts Kemp Minifie describes their origin and inspiration – let’s hear it for shower ideas!

Besides these ghosts, if you’re looking for more holiday inspiration, Gourmet Live is printing several recipes from Gourmet’s classic Halloween issues – including Witches’ BrewPoppy Cheddar Moon CrackersBlack and Orange Halloween Pasta (revised and updated by Melissa Roberts in 2009), and Devil’s Food Cake With Chocolate Spider Web

And, if like us, you loved Gourmet , make sure you use EYB’s index to easily find recipes in their legacy cookbook, The Gourmet Cookbook: More Than 1000 Recipes.
