2-Ingredient (no yeast) pizza dough

Ready-to-bake pizza

Our friends in Australia have once again shown culinary innovation with this recipe for 2-ingredient pizza dough, which the kidspot kitchen site describes as: “This fast and easy pizza dough is perfect for when you don’t have time to wait for dough to prove or to play around with yeast .” While it may never replace  great hearth-baked pizza, and Peter Reinhart may not approve, it’s a great idea for an after-school or quick just-got-home option. If you try it, we’d love to hear how you like it.

And if we’ve inspired an interest in pizza, check out the pizza cookbooks that are most popular with our members. It’s not really a surprise that Alice Waters is on top.

Hmmm … using "self-raising flour" makes it more than 2 ingredients in my book.

There's a traditional pizza-like flatbread from Liguria which uses only water, flour, and salt. However, it needs 24 hours to rest/ferment, so not exactly a "quick after-school snack".
