IACP Cookbook Award winners 2024

The International Association of Culinary Professionals announced the winners of its 2024 Cookbook Awards (along with other food media and writing awards) this evening at its 2024 Summit held in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to this year’s winners, the IACP inducted three cookbooks into its Culinary Classics, which is a like a Hall of Fame for cookbooks. The IACP also presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to Dorie Greenspan and Phyllis Hoffman. The Trailblazers honored this evening included Kat Craddock of Saveur, Kerry Diamond of Cherry Bombe, Carrie Bachman of Carrie Bachman Public Relations (cookbook and gourmet product publicity), and Adjo Honsou, winner of Season 3 of PBS’s Great American Recipe.

Turning to the book awards, Sohla El-Waylly was the evening’s biggest winner, taking home the prize for the best Book of the Year for Start Here: Instructions for Becoming a Better Cook! Congratulations to Sohla for this well-deserved honor.

The winner of the second annual Toni Tipton-Martin award was Kat Lieu, author of Modern Asian Kitchen and Modern Asian Baking at Home and founder of a popular online baking group called Subtle Asian Baking (SAB).
