This week at Eat Your Books
October 4, 2019 by JennyWhile still feeling the effects of last month’s landslide of cookbooks, October is sizing up to be quite possibly the largest month of releases to date. Our indexers are cranking out books as quickly as possible while we prepare EYBDigital Previews and reviews.
This week, Darcie shared a guide to squash, chocolate chip cookie perfection, and an article on a new cookbook Recipes of My 15 Grandmothers: Unique Recipes and Stories from the Times of the Crypto-Jews during the Spanish Inquisition. Darcie’s weekly food news antipasto is shared every Sunday.
I prepared a recap of Roaring 20’s Week on The Great British Bake Off. This season is on its way to becoming my least favorite to date. I am hopeful for a return of the charm that will guide me back to the light of the white tent. Gift guides are being prepared for publication next month. Our best books lists are gearing up and I am thinking ahead to 2020 cookbooks! How did 2019 go by so quickly? (Best books of 2019, so far.)
