Healthy Rituals with Kombucha on Tap (and a Giveaway!)

As we move into a season of lighter meals, cleaner routines, and more mindful choices, what we’re drinking matters just as much as what we’re cooking.

For many, kombucha fits perfectly: refreshing, complex, and a satisfying alternative to sugary soft drinks or alcohol. But instead of bottles, imagine kombucha brewed fresh at home and poured straight from the tap. You may read more about bruusta in our previous promotion.

That’s where bruusta comes in – a home kombucha brewing system designed to make fresh, naturally carbonated kombucha part of everyday life.

Why kombucha on tap?

Brewing kombucha at home isn’t just about convenience (though having it on tap is undeniably appealing). It’s about freshness, flavour, and control.

With bruusta, kombucha is brewed in an easy-to-use, streamlined system that removes much of the guesswork from traditional fermentation. The result is a consistently balanced brew that’s:

  • Fresh and fizzy, poured straight from the tap
  • Naturally carbonated, with no forced fizz
  • Made from simple ingredients, low in sugar and rich in organic acids
  • Gut-friendly thanks to natural fermentation

For anyone already cooking with intention, brewing kombucha at home feels like a natural extension of that mindset.

Kombucha as a base for mindful mocktails

One of the joys of having kombucha on tap is its versatility – especially for mindful mocktails.

Kombucha brings acidity, gentle sweetness, and complexity, making it an ideal alcohol-free base. It has the structure of a cocktail and the sparkle of a celebratory drink, without feeling restrictive.

Citrus Ginger Reset Mocktail

This easy recipe takes just minutes and highlights fresh kombucha beautifully.

You’ll need:

  • 150–200 ml chilled bruusta Original kombucha
  • Juice of ½ orange
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • A few thin slices of fresh ginger
  • Ice
  • Optional garnish: mint or orange peel

To make:

Fill a glass with ice and ginger. Add citrus juices, top with kombucha straight from the tap, stir gently, and garnish if you like.

Bright, lightly spicy, and beautifully balanced — no added sugar required.

To celebrate the healthy reset season, we’re partnering with bruusta to give one Eat Your Books member in the United States the chance to win a bruusta starter kit worth $242 – pictured below.

Very interesting how Bruusta technology was based on beer brewing adapted for kombucha. Love how the base has a simple organic profile of water, cane sugar, black & green teas. Thanks for sharing.
