CookShelf, events, Member communications and more
August 8, 2025 by JennyThis week we want to acknowledge our appreciation to all our Member Indexers who work diligently at helping us index more titles including those who edit indexed books adding page numbers. A special shout out to one of our pro-indexers (Helen in Australia) who Member Indexed Betty Crocker’s Cookbook, 6th Edition, New and Revised which had a grand total of 1,410 recipes! Thank you so much for this Herculean effort.
A housekeeping note: Please occasionally check your spam/junk folders for emails from EYB. If you manually added a book or were assigned a book to index, I email many of you and I fear they are ending up in spam. Even better, add @eatyourbooks.com to your whitelist / safe senders list so our emails don’t get treated as spam.

In case you missed it, Katie, the new owner of Eat Your Books, has started a free newsletter on Substack. Please be sure to subscribe as we have great guest authors (so far, Rose Levy Beranbaum and Hetty McKinnon) and more coming. Also, please be sure to follow CookShelf on Instagram for more content for cookbook lovers. In case of any confusion about the naming, the app for Eat Your Books will be called CookShelf — it will have much of the same functionality as Eat Your Books, but designed for mobile. Access to the CookShelf app will be part of all Premium Eat Your Books memberships.

We have a special giveaway this week: Win one of three Bruusta Mixologist Magic Starter Kits, the new all-in-one homebrew kombucha kit, in our US promotion. Please note that there is a special code for our Members to use if they wish to purchase a Bruusta now. Just use the discount code EYB 20 and get an extra $20 off any of the starter bundles, currently discounted to $158.
