Hetty is a cook and food writer with a passion for vegetables. In 2011, she established Arthur Street Kitchen, a local salad-delivery business run out of her inner-city terrace in Surry Hills, Sydney. In 2015, Hetty and her family relocated to Brooklyn, New York City, where she continues to cook and write about food, penning a string of bestselling and award-winning cookbooks. Her upcoming book Linger: Salads, Sweets and Stories to Savour, Together (August 26 in Australia and New Zealand, October 7 in the US) features 100 salad recipes plus desserts, bakes, entertaining menus and personal essays.

In addition to Hetty’s lovely post, there is an extra treat for US-based readers – a special preorder bonus available through select bookstores. More wonderful guest posts and amazing original content will follow, so be sure to head over to Substack and subscribe to the CookShelf newsletter!
