Taste Canada Awards 2025 longlist released
May 29, 2025 by JennyNow in its 28th year, Taste Canada / Saveurs du Canada has announced the longlist of 69 cookbooks in the running for its culinary writing awards. The Awards are presented to outstanding Canadian cookbooks in both English and French languages. The shortlist will be announced online on June 25th, 2025 and the winners will be announced in autumn of this year.

The Taste Canada honors have only five categories: Culinary Narratives, General Cookbooks, Regional/Cultural Cookbooks, Single Subject Cookbooks, and Health or Special Diet Cookbooks. However, multiple books can win an award. English-language books of note include:
- Nature’s Candy: Timeless and Inventive Recipes for Creating and Baking with Candied Fruit by Camilla Wynne
- Mad Love: Big Flavors Made to Share, from South Asia to the Caribbean by Devan Rajkumar
- Jenna Rae Cakes at Home: Our Favourite Recipes to Enjoy with Family and Friends by Ashley Kosowan and Jenna Hutchinson
- Chuck’s Home Cooking: Family-Favourite Recipes from My Kitchen to Yours by Chuck Hughes
- Kitten and the Bear Cookbook: Recipes for Small Batch Preserves, Scones, and Sweets from the Beloved Shop by Sophie Kaftal and Bobby Zielinski
- The Route to Parsi Cooking: From Pars to India by Niloufer Mavalvala
- Zaatari: Culinary Traditions of the World’s Largest Syrian Refugee Camp by Karen E. Fisher
- The Book of Sandwiches: Delicious to the Last Bite: Recipes for Every Sandwich Lover by Jason Skrobar
- Crust: Essential Sweets and Savories from Victoria’s Beloved Bakery by Tom Moore
- Souk to Table: Vibrant Middle Eastern Dishes for Everyday Meals by Amina Al-Saigh
- The Side Gardener: Recipes & Notes from My Garden by Rosie Daykin
- The Artful Way to Plant-Based Cooking: Nourishing Recipes and Heartfelt Moments by Chloé Crane-Leroux and Trudy Crane
