The high-priced smoothies from upscale Los Angeles market Erewhon can be found everywhere on social media as influencers and celebrities post the latest smoothie creations, which can cost up to $20 USD. There might be a pause in these posts, however, as Erewhon had to temporarily shut down the smoothie bar due to a cockroach infestation discovered by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in a routine inspection. This just goes to show that price is not always an indicator of good hygiene practices. Or maybe the cockroaches were just big spenders.

Padma Lakshmi recently announced that her award-winning series Taste the Nation will not be returning for a third season.
