14,000 books indexed, cookbook trends, EYBD Previews, recipes and more
March 7, 2025 by JennyWe are pleased to announce that over 14,000 books have been indexed. Our Library has a great mix of new releases, classic cookbooks and even Member Indexed non-English titles! In addition to these titles, we have connected the EYB database to ckbk’s library of digital cookbooks. ckbk is a cookbook subscription site where you can access the full content of over 960 great cookbooks, the majority of which are indexed here on EYB. For all the details, please see this post.
Along with these books, we have indexed 85 websites and blogs and over 5,900 magazines. We owe all this to our wonderful team at Eat Your Books of Professional Indexers, Member Indexers and other team members who keep the site current with food news, author and bookstore events, cookbook reviews and giveaways and more.
When I update the 2025 Cookbook Preview Post, I try to predict where the cookbook trends are heading. I have noticed a load of new names (to me) releasing books – most are influencers on TikTok or Instagram such as: Lindsey Baruch, Matt Remoroza, Justin Tsang, Sam Holland and Patrick Zeinali. If you click on their author name, you will see their bios, platforms and titles of their upcoming books.

Another trend that I see in 2025 are books devoted to dinner parties and entertaining. Below are a few of those titles:
- Dinner Party Animal: Recipes to Make Every Day a Celebration by Jake Cohen
- In for Dinner: 101 Delicious & Affordable Recipes to Batch Cook, Share and Enjoy by Rosie Kellet
- Dinner at Mine?: How to Eat Good Food Every Day by Kate Young
- Dinner at Our Place: Recipes for Gathering by Our Place and Shiza Shahid
- Having People Over: A Modern Guide to Planning, Throwing, and Attending Every Type of Party by Chelsea Fagan
- Party People: Recipes for Creative Celebrations with the Ones You Love by Brie Larson and Courtney McBroom
- All I Think About Is Food: A Vegetarian Cookbook That’ll Keep the Party Going by Mamrie Hart
- What Can I Bring?: Recipes to Help You Live Your Guest Life by Casey Elsass
- The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook: Seasonal Recipes for Everyday Luxury and Elevated Entertaining by Meredith Hayden
- Pull Up a Chair – Recipes for Gatherings Big and Small, Morning to Night by Martha Collison
For a time after COVID, we saw a plethora of bread baking titles released and I wonder if these new gathering books are feeding off of that time or if food writers are trying to bring people together in light of issues happening in our world.
What books are you looking forward to in 2025? Is there a trend you wish would stop “trending”? Let us know.
