Le Creuset Berry Dutch Oven Special EYB 10th Birthday Promotion

My love affair with cookware would seem unreasonable to most. I,
myself, cannot explain nor justify my serious addiction to French
enamel cast iron or remember how it began. I go so far as to pause
the television if I glance upon a Dutch oven on a stove and have to
verify for myself if it is Le Creuset (I do the same when I see a
bookshelf of cookbooks).
Each time Le Creuset comes out with a new color it feels like the magic of Christmas
and the agony of opening a perfectly wrapped gift and finding out
that the gift is socks. It’s a love/hate relationship as I want all
the colors but I can’t possibly own all the colors.
A Facebook acquaintance recently questioned just how many Dutch
ovens does one need? What a Marie Kondo/ridiculous thing to ask! It
is not a matter of need but a matter of wanting. I take comfort in
the fact that there are others who have this same affliction. In
April 2020, Sara Dahmen has a book being released: Copper, Iron, and
Clay: A Love Affair with Cookware. I think we could be great
friends.
Today, I am sharing a special 10th EYB birthday giveaway for Le Creuset’s new color berry. This 4.5 quart
beauty is the perfect size for soup, a small roast or any number of
dishes.
As I have said countless times this cookware will last a
lifetime especially if you take
good care of it (I do) and looks lovely on your dinner
table. You never need to transfer a soup or stew from a piece of Le
Creuset. Just bring the whole vessel to the table to serve and have
less to clean!

While grocery shopping today, I picked up a copy of Ruhlman’s How to Roast: Foolproof Techniques and
Recipes for the Home Cook to include in this giveaway!
Ruhlman’s titles are always spot on and I am looking forward to his
latest From Scratch (October 2019).
