My husband has described me as “crusty” with a good heart. I think that means that I would do almost anything for people but I really don’t want to spend time with them. My tolerance level has gone from a microscopic level to a spot unreachable by man or science. That being said, Kim-Joy makes me smile and I could see myself spending time with her transforming dinner rolls into cute woodland creatures.
Her debut cookbook Baking with Kim-Joy (review here) was delightful and now the sweetest baker to hit the white tent takes her magic and sprinkles it all over Christmas. Matcha bamboo Swiss roll with festive pandas, White chocolate, raspberry and gin icebergs with mini penguins (she had me at gin), and Yuzu curd Santa tartlets with strawberries and cream are a few of the creations that Kim-Joy has waiting for us.
