Is this the ultimate comfort dish?
October 2, 2012 by LindsayAll of us have food passions that, just maybe, we don’t confess to – or, in fact, actually hide. One of our shameful secrets is tuna casserole. It’s just so comforting – a dish that just wraps itself around you and gives you a hug. It’s not hard to understand why. Egg noodles are a comfort by themselves and reaching for a can of tuna fish is so easy. Plus casseroles just seem to exemplify comfort.
That’s why this recipe in Epicurious caught our attention. It does dispense with the traditional cream of mushroom soup in favor of a homemade mushroom soup, so maybe it’s not quite as easy a traditional tuna casserole but, besides adding flavor, you get two recipes for the price of one.
And if this recipe doesn’t excite you, check out these other tuna casserole recipes from the EYB library. And join us in cuddling up to our food.
