Take the pasta shapes quiz

The Italians may not have invented pasta (there’s debate on whether it originated in China or Italy), but there’s no doubt that they have perfected it. According to the Encyclopedia of Pasta, Italians have created over 1,300 different shapes of pasta. If you are passionate about pasta, you may want to take the quiz offered by indexed magazine Saveur to see how many pasta shapes you can identify.
As you take the quiz and choose the pasta name you think goes with the photo, you get to see what percentage of participants guessed each answer. That can take the sting out of an incorrect choice if you see that many people struggled with the answer. Most of the shapes are fairly commonplace although there are a couple of obscure shapes included for a real challenge.
