Sunny-Side Up & CrateChef Giveaway
August 22, 2019 by Jenny
Sunny-Side
Up is sure to excite breakfast, brunch and pastry lovers
with gorgeous photographs and recipes from savory egg dishes to
croissants (and cocktails)! Several recipes share step-by-step
photos for more complex techniques such as braiding a brioche.
I made the Cinnamon pecan oatmeal scones this afternoon (photo
above). They were quick to bring together and the end result was a
tender flavor-packed bite. I was hoping that they would be
reminiscent of the cinnamon crunch scones at Panera but they were a
world better. I am anxious to try many other recipes including:
Peach thyme jam, Brioche beignets, and the homemade Maple breakfast
sausage. The variety of dishes and attention to detail shared
in this book makes it a keeper.
The following recipes are available online for our members to
try now:
- Greek yogurt-raspberry loaf
- Raspberry citrus whole wheat muffins
- Spinach, roasted red pepper, and goat cheese frittata
In March, I spent some time searching for subscription foodie
boxes and I came across CrateChef. CrateChef was founded in 2016 to
deliver a subscription box that felt like a personal gift from a
top-name chef. Every other month, the box is filled with the
featured chef’s favorite products including a selection of artisan
foods, kitchen tools, gadgets or cookbooks, selected recipes and a
letter from the chef. CrateChef boxes are only available for
shipping in the US.
August and September’s box shares a collection of Waylynn Lucas favorite items and includes recipes from the book, sparkling sugar, star anise, hot sauce, roasted red peppers, a ball whisk, stainless steel popsicle molds
and sunny-side up gummy bears! CrateChef is generously offering one
of Waylynn’s boxes and Rodale is providing a copy of the book to a
grand prize winner. Two additional winners will receive a copy of
this book.
In addition, CrateChef is offering our members a special
discount enter the code EATYOURBOOKS for 15% off a
1 Box Subscription or a 1 Box Gift for new customers only. The code
can be used two times per customer and expires September 30, 2019,
at 11:30 p.m. CST. These boxes make a thoughtful gift for anyone
who loves to cook.

The publisher is offering three copies of Sunny-Side Up to EYB Members in the US. One of those winners will also receive Waylynn’s Crate Chef box. Two of the entry options are to answer the following questions in the comments section of this blog post.
Which recipe in the index would you try first?
Which CrateChef box would you like to try? (I want them all!)
