Top 2025 cookbooks added to EYB Member Bookshelves

For the last few years, I have created a list of top cookbooks that Members have added to their Bookshelves in that year. 2025’s list includes 145 books. The first section of this post – shows the most popular books added without regard to region. The second post is broken down by region.

Please note this list does not include those books that are labeled as ckbk as those numbers are higher due to the Membership on that site – roughly around 185 of our Members also belong to ckbk. Accordingly, the top books here are those that were selected and purchased by Members. Lastly, the country of first publication – which is the master edition – is the one listed although many books were also published or distributed in other countries as well.

    Thank you for all the work you do to compile these lists Jenny! It’s always interesting to see what happening on member bookshelves.

    I’m having fun with Good Things and Something from Nothing is on my Christmas list…based on the recipe comments I’ve been reading, fingers crossed 🙂 I’m also happy to see Every Salad Ever and Two Chefs in the Garden on your lists. They are both lovely Canadian titles.

    First of all, thank you for the lists! (i love lists! 🙂 I do have one question though, it seems the books are unique? For instance, the book “Good Things” is no 1 in the US, but its excluded from the UK list, is it not possible to be No 1 in the US, and no 8 in the UK for example? It confuses me a bit.. Or should region be seen as the region that the book is originally from?

    Sloober…all the books on the list for Canada are Canadian publications…I assume that would hold true for the lists under each specific country.

    Thank you Jenny! I also really enjoy these lists. For once, I haven’t bought many books on any of the lists; the one exception is Every Salad Ever by Greta Podleski. I heard her interviewed on the radio and she said her book (as of late October) was only available in Canada. I’m loving it so far.

    I loved seeing these lists! It’s a nice way to find out about books I’d missed and have now added to my Christmas list. Every Salad Ever sounds great and I’m looking forward to My Harvest Kitchen – I loved Gesine Bullock-Prado’s My Vermont Table.
