Test your food knowledge with this BBC Christmas food quiz

BBC Food created what it titled “The great big festive 2022 food quiz“, which I felt sure I would do well taking. As it turns out, my confidence slightly exceeded my ability. My score on the main part of the quiz was respectable if not great, although I definitely need to work on my food-related music and movie trivia. Watching a lot of films seems like a good plan for the next few days since it is bone-chillingly cold.

I did well on the technical and geography questions and surprised myself with knowing many of the TikTok food trends even though I don’t use the app. The photo round is where I fell completely flat as I only knew 5 of the 12 chefs by photo. I console myself with the fact that they are all British chefs and I probably did as well as most Americans would on that front.

I’m giving everyone a hint with the photo above (recipes such as these) but I know most of you would get this question correct anyway. If you take the quiz, let me know how you did. I will put my score in the comments as well.

    I got 30/40 for the main quiz, 5/12 in the picture round, for a total of 35/52. Not great!

    This was fun! I got 39 out of 52 though I’m consoling myself that I got a perfect score on the technical questions and almost perfect in geography.
