HBO series about Julia Child sets premiere date
February 17, 2022 by DarcieIt has been nearly two years since we first announced that HBO was producing a series based on the life of Julia Child. After this lengthy wait, we finally have a premiere date and photo stills from the show. People Magazine published several exclusive photos from the eight-episode program and provided additional details.

Simply titled ‘Julia’, the show premieres on March 31 on HBO Max and stars Sarah Lancashire in the titular role, with David Hyde Pierce (best known for his work on Frasier) playing her beloved husband Paul. The series also features Bebe Neuwirth, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott and Brittany Bradford in various roles.
Show creator and executive producer Daniel Goldfarb said he is excited about bringing Julia’s story to the small screen, adding that that “Julia Child had a singular can-do spirit that is timeless and inspiring and seems more miraculous than ever. She was delightfully ahead of her time in almost every way. She did everything – and she did it with grace, humor, compassion, and endless charm.”
