Just Peachy – EYBD Promotion
May 14, 2019 by Jenny
One event I look forward to every year here in Colorado is the
return of the Palisade peaches. From late June to early September
peaches play a pivotal role in my canning, desserts and cooking.
While I love most fruit, peaches are by far my favorite.
Belinda Smith-Sullivan is the peach professor. She lives in the
heart of South Carolina’s peach country and is a chef, food writer
and spice blends entrepreneur. In her debut
cookbook Just
Peachy she delivers over 70 recipes incorporating the
fruit into salsas, cakes, stews and more. She begins with a history
of peaches, moves then to outlining the varietals, festivals, and
how to can and freeze the fruit for year- round enjoyment.
Whether you want to try a Spinach-peach omelet or a Peach thyme
pound cake, Belinda has you covered. This year, I’m even more
excited for peach season to arrive.
