Is that a real cookbook?
July 9, 2015 by Darcie
Thousands of cookbooks get published every year in almost every genre imaginable. Many are downright weird–so weird, in fact, that the titles are almost unbelievable. This prompted the crew over at Eater to make up a quiz about these bizarre books.
They enlisted a team of designers to create fake cookbook covers and lined them up alongside real (and quite bizarre) cookbooks. Your job is to guess whether a particular cover belongs to a real cookbook or whether it is one made up by Eater. Some of the titles include Things I Did When I Was Hangry, Quack Quack Duck, Magic Soup, Cooking with the Bears: Healthy Recipes by Hairy Men, Hot Girls Eat Meat, and Kawaii 5-0.
How many of those sound like legitimate cookbooks to you? Three of the above are real, and three are fake. We’re not going to spoil the quiz for you, so you will need to visit the Eater website to see the answers. No fair looking in the EYB Library before you take the quiz, either!
